YOUTH leaders at a Trowbridge church will be missing out on Sunday lunch this weekend.
The group of eight, from the Zion Baptist Church, are taking part in a 24-hour sponsored famine to raise money for World Vision, which works with children orphaned by AIDS.
Co-organiser Heather Skull said: "As a group of youth leaders we work with young people who if they had been born in a different continent could well have lost one or both of their parents to the HIV/AIDS virus."
More than 11 million children under 15 in sub-Saharan Africa have lost at least one parent to the virus, a number expected to rise to 25m by the year 2010.
The 24-hour famine will start at 5pm tomorrow.
