A DRUG dealer caught with nearly £3,000 worth of herbal cannabis at his Trowbridge home could face a lengthy jail term.
Police discovered 607 grams of the drug, known as skunk, in a raid on the home of 20-year-old Paul Reynolds at Orchard Close on September 10.
Reynolds admitted possession with intent to supply when he appeared before Swindon Crown Court on Friday.
The drug had a street value of £2,880.
Although cannabis has been downgraded from a class B to a class C drug, the maximum sentence for supply or possession with intent to supply is still a 14-year jail term.
The case was adjourned for police to complete investigations into Reynolds' finances, under the Proceeds of Crime Act, to try and recover any profit made from his illicit trade.
Reynolds was released on bail and a pre-sentence report will be compiled by the probation service.
