JOHN Fisher agrees with the old adage that a week is a long time in football.
Seven days ago the Highworth boss was full of trepidation on the eve of the Wiltshire Senior Cup tie with Wilts League Cricklade.
A recent dip in form had Fisher fearing an upset but the game was postponed due to the weather.
The rearranged tie will take place tomorrow but Fisher is far more laid back about the prospect in the wake of the 5-0 Hellenic League thumping of Bicester on Tuesday night.
"That game was exactly what we needed," said Fisher. "The spring is back in the step.
"Everyone was smiling again in the changing room afterwards.
"No disrespect to Cricklade but I'm a lot less concerned about them than I was this time last week."
Richard Knox, Jon Reeves and Mark O'Hara have had their scheduled suspensions for last weekend carried over and will not play.
Steve Richardson could also miss out after picking up a knee injury on Tuesday.
Phil Corcoran netted on his debut in the win and will lead the line again, but Cricklade manager Graham Jackson will be making no special provisions for the hitman.
"We all know about Phil," said Jackson. "He played for us a couple of seasons ago, he's a quality player, but not the only one as Highworth have got quite a few.
"We have got to stop them playing which won't be easy, give it a good go ourselves and as I said last week, go out and enjoy ourselves and you never know."
Jackson will be relying on the same squad that was chosen for the original fixture and doesn't expect star striker Ben Carter to be fit in time.
NOBBY Bush has recruited former Chippenham Town youngster Craig Gingell as his Corsham side face a Screwfix Premier fixture pile-up.
The midweek cancellation of the much-anticipated trip to title rivals Frome leaves the Southbank side needing to cram half their league fixtures into the final two and a bit months of the season.
Bush and Co entertain Exmouth, while Devizes face Clyst.
Calne host Chard and Biddestone go to Shepton Mallet in the First Division.
