THE 19th Wilts and West of England Junior Chess Congress will take place this weekend at New College in Queens Drive, Swindon.
Around 300 children from across the country will take part in ten chess sections ranging from beginners to junior international competitions.
Any under 18-year-old chess players can take part and entry to a competition is £13 for under 18s, £11 for under 12s, £9.50 for under tens and £5.50 for under eights.
To enter the event is free.
The event starts at 9.45am tomorrow and 9.30am on Sunday and finishes at 5.30pm on both days.
