THIS week we are going to throw in some really basic cardio exercises which are good for burning fat.

I will also include a chest exercise because we have not done any chest work yet.

For the first exercise stand at the bottom of your stairs.

Now step up onto one and back off it again.

Gradually speed this up into a run pumping your arms for speed.

Do this for a minute then rest for a minute, repeat the routine five times.

Remember to go at a speed where you don't need to stop.

Next up is a line jump. Place something in the middle of your floor which is straight, such as a belt.

Now set your feet hip-distance apart on one side of it.

Jump sideways over the line on both feet and back again, that's one repetition.

Again try this for a minute each time with a minute's rest in between.

Now we are going to try a chest exercise.

You will need to use a tiled or wood floor, kitchen lino should be okay too.

Take the press up position on all fours (women can lean on their knees), place two small hand towels under each hand and spread your fingers for balance.

Keeping a slight bend in your elbow, move your arms up and out to your sides on top of the sliding towels, so that your hands are in line with your ears.

Now lift your chest as you slide the towels back to your starting position.

Repeat the action 10 times and relax you've earned it.
