THE winners of our Bride of the Year competition were treated to a slap-up meal thanks to the main sponsors.
Romance and candles ensure Samantha Moaby and Paul Webb felt like royalty when they sat down to a feast at the Goddard Arms Hotel.
The couple were treated to a special dinner courtesy of the hotel in Cricklade Street, which will also be providing the reception venue for the big day.
Ahead of the all-expenses paid wedding, scheduled for August, Samantha and Paul are already beginning to feel like a fairytale prince and princess.
They enjoyed a three-course meal, which was just the first of many treats in store for the happy couple in the coming months.
Samantha, 32, of Archer Close, Kingsdown, said: "I'm not used to getting this much attention."
The Goddard Arms Hotel has provided the reception for our Bride of the Year competition for the last five years.
And reservations manager Steve Golding thinks the wedding will be the pinnacle of the hotel's year.
He said: "I am very much looking forward to working with Samantha and Paul. They make a lovely couple."
Samantha cannot believe how lucky she is.
She said: "When I knew I won I couldn't speak I was flabbergasted." Honda worker Paul, also 32, is delighted to have won the competition and said it was the best news the couple have had in a long time. The hotel, the largest sponsor of the wedding, will provide a reception for 50 people, an evening reception for 80 people, drinks and overnight accommodation for the bride and groom.
