WITH reference to the article on February 14, headlined "Residents fear return of yobs."
What is going wrong with our society? I understand it takes six months to collate evidence before an ASBO is put in place. How much must this cost in time and paperwork, surely all is required is a police presence?
The reason why members of the Gorse Hill community are not phoning in is that nobody turns up when we do and what can they do?
The councillor's comment that "it is up to the police. I'll be guided by them," is not correct.
You should be guided by the Gorse Hill Community they voted you in, try looking after them and tell the police what we want.
I also noticed a new police hotline is being launched but the article was very small. Do the powers that be really want us to see this? Shouldn't it be made more prominent? For those who missed it the number is 01793 507889. Good luck.
