A DANCE organised to help disabled children make a pilgrimage to Lourdes has raised £1,600 towards the trip.
The Pilgrimage Trust takes children to the shrine in France and then for a holiday in the area.
The dance took place at the Thistle Hotel on Saturday night.
Organiser Patsy Moloney said: "After paying two bands, to come out with so much money to help the children is fantastic.
"I thought we would maybe make around £800.
"It just proves that if you want to do something good around Swindon, the local people are always there to support it.
"I'll be doing the same next year."
