I WAS one of the few people who attended the public meeting at Upper Shaw re the council proposal "Improving education provision in West Swindon".
West Swindon is being offered a real opportunity to shape its future, although the proposal is far from perfect and a lot of information is missing.
It is sad that so few were prepared to turn up and discuss the positive and negative aspects of the proposal and help shape something better. Hopefully more people will attend the sessions planned over the next few weeks.
I would like to thank Coun Perkins and Dr Richards for being available and tackling the tough questions/grilling from the eight parents from Windmill Hill, three from Westlea, one from Shaw Ridge and myself from Brook Field.
