Premier corner shop in Kent Road had one beef and tomato pot noodle on sale with a sell by date of April 2005 and a box of others with a sell by date of June 2005 that manager Karim Bhimji had been intending to sell before finding out about the recall.
The same applied to a Heinz Weight Watcher's Shepherd's Pie, which was in the freezer cabinet with a sell by date of December 2005.
There was one beef and tomato Pot Noodle with a sell- by date of June 2005 in the Sultan Mini-Market in Eastcott Hill.
Aram Ratna, who works in the store, said: "The manager checked everything and threw most of the things that shouldn't be sold away.
"I just think it must have been there by mistake."
A beef and tomato Pot Noodle with a sell by date of February 2005 was on sale in Bhatia Stores in Crombey Street.
At the Nythe Mini Market Food and Wine, pot noodles containing Sudan 1 were still on the shelves.
But the owner, who did not wish to be named, said: "We checked the list and it said November 2005 so I think anything up to November 2005 is OK.
"If it's anything otherwise we would get rid of them straight away."
At Rusts in Covingham the staff had been working hard to clear the shelves of contaminated items.
Supervisor Cherrill Dominik said: "We got a product recall list from head office and as soon as we heard we got it all off the shelves."
