DOGS and cats in the Cricklade area can have their chips at an RSPCA organised event in the town next month.
The North Wiltshire branch of the organisation is giving pet owners the chance to micro-chip their cats and dogs at a reduced price.
Each chip holds a unique number that is kept on a national database.
If a missing animal is scanned by a vet, dog warden or RSPCA inspector they can use the number to contact the owners so that they are re-united with their pet.
The session will be held in Cricklade Town Hall between 10am and noon. The cost of micro-chipping will be £12.50, which will go towards the RSPCA's work, helping animals in the local area.
