JULIA Drown, the Labour MP for south Swindon, is backing plans to improve school meals in Swindon schools.
Julia has met with Secretary of State for Education, Ruth Kelly, to discuss the Government's plan to make school meals healthier and get parents involved in deciding what their children eat.
The meeting comes after an announcement by the Government that it will be consulting schools, parents, the food industry and nutritionists to find ways to get parents involved in deciding what should be on the school menu.
