GAZETTE & HERALD: A LARGER youth club in Box will have to be put on hold because there are no co-ordinators to help make the scheme a reality.
Margaret Carey, parish council clerk said: "There is a need for a youth club.
"We've got lots of facilities within the recreation ground for young people to use but it would be nice for them to have a room they can call their own."
The council is looking into lottery funding for a replacement pavilion where there would be room for a youth club.
Mrs Carey said: "While there are several volunteers to help with the youth club, the parish council is seeking active co-ordinators to over-see the running of the club."
She said the role would suit an active and enthusiastic person who is keen to get involved in an exciting and worthwhile project.
"We are relying on someone to run with it and get it going.
"We've done the groundwork and we've already got some volunteers.
"The parish council is willing to put its all into it, but we really need someone to pull it all together," she said.
"The council has received an offer of help from one young parishioner.
"But if there is anyone else interested in the community I would like them contact me as soon as possible."
Anyone who would like further information about the youth project in the village or who would like to be a volunteer helping with the club should contact Mrs Carey on (01225) 742356, Monday to Thursday between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
