15409/2A LOCAL driver escaped with minor injuries after a crash near Urchfont last Thursday.
The silver grey Peugeot 306 left the road, hit an embankment and flew into a field beside the B3098 just outside the village at about 7.45am.
It rolled over a number of times before coming to rest about 100 yards into the field. The car was completely wrecked.
Passing motorists stopped and helped the young male driver from the vehicle and called the emergency services. An ambulance took the driver to Salisbury District Hospital.
The driver's injuries were not serious and he was later released after treatment.
A police spokesman said the accident was being investigated to discover what caused the car to leave the road.
No other vehicle is thought to have been involved.
He said the owner of the car was making his own arrangements to recover it.
