JAMES Dyson, pictured, has invented a vacuum cleaner that can order its own spare parts.
The cleaner alerts the owner when it breaks down or needs a replacement part.
The owner then dials the Dyson call centre and holds the phone receiver to the vacuum cleaner and the machine transmits a message to the company's engineers and orders any new part that is required.
The Dyson company has its headquarters at Malmesbury.
Yesterday it was announced that one-in-five vacuum cleaners sold in America is a Dyson.
Dyson has made £800 from inventing the first vacuum cleaner without a bag.
