I write to inform you about the dangerous situation which is occurring at Bedwyn station.
After departing the train you have to walk up a steep path to the road above, but there is a problem because the path is a like a river, caused by a burst water main on the railway bridge. If it freezes it's like a skating rink.
There are no street lights on the path or bridge. I hope Network Rail or whoever is responsible is prepared to pay for injuries caused.
The other aspect is if you reach the top of the path to cross over the bridge you stand a good chance of being struck by a vehicle using excessive speed.
It's high time action is taken to
prevent speeding vehicles over the two bridges and along The Knapp.
I know that Bedwyn Parish Council has voiced its concerns on more than one occasion to Wiltshire County Council.
Of course there is one answer for rail travellers, and that would be a footbridge over the railway lines connecting the two platforms.
Let's hope there is some action taken before we have a fatality.
