GAZETTE & HERALD: Former barber Thomas Tume roared like the Incredible Hulk before hurling a glass across a pub following a bar room brawl, a court heard.
Tume had downed ten or eleven pints of cider before throwing the empty half pint glass, which hit a woman just below the left eye.
Now the 24-year-old, who a month after the incident attacked a man outside a boxing event at the Chippenham Olympiad, causing grievous bodily harm, is facing a jail term for the two matters.
The victim of the glass attack, Catherine Tebb, had been drinking in the Four Seasons pub in Chippenham town centre with her husband, son and some friends. She was struck at about 1.30am on Sunday April 18 last year when violence erupted.
Tume, of Marsden Road, Bristol, admitted affray but denied throwing the glass. After a hearing of fact Judge Charles Wade ruled that evidence had proved that Tume had thrown the glass.
Tume was released on bail so pre-sentence reports can be prepared.
