A SHOP worker faces jail after stealing around £1,400 in cash from her employers.
Vanessa Glennon, 21, who has a previous conviction for breaching trust to steal, had originally pleaded not guilty to taking the money.
But she changed her plea on Tuesday at Swindon Crown Court and admitted stealing from the KJC mobile phone store in Warminster.
Glennon could be sent to prison for the theft, which represents a breach of trust.
She had also been charged with stealing mobile phones and sim cards worth thousands of pounds but pleaded not guilty. The Crown Prosecution Service dropped the charge after her guilty plea to the other offence.
Glennon, of Ashleigh Coombe, Warminster, pleaded guilty to one charge of theft between Thursday, July 24 and Tuesday, August 12, 2003.
Jonathan Simpson, defending, said his client was still owed about £900 by her employers and hoped that would be taken into consideration at sentence.
Judge Charles Wade adjourned the case for reports to be prepared. Glennon was released on conditional bail.
