A FARMSTEAD fun day is to be held today to celebrate the success of the Wiltshire Children's fund.
Hundreds of young people in the county have been helped by the fund, which is administered by children's charity, Barnardo's and based at the White Horse Business Park in Trowbridge.
The event, at Farmer Giles Farmstead, near Salisbury, will allow youngsters to enjoy art and craft workshops, tractor and trailer rides and a visit to the wildlife hospital. They will also learn about and feed the animals on the farm.
Christine Robinson, Wiltshire Children's Fund programme manager, said: "These events are designed to be fun-packed and exciting. The aim of the day is to celebrate and publicise the work of the WCF."
The projects organised by the fund, which last year spent £555,000 on improving the lives of five to 13-year-olds, includes creative counselling, parenting programmes, video workshops and homework clubs.
