16652/3TWO 18-YEAR-OLDS have organised a tough trek across Dartmoor to raise money for cancer sufferers.
Matt Garland, of Seend Cleeve and Chris Morris, of Steeple Ashton, hope to undertake an 85-mile walk across the moors in mid-March.
Mr Garland, who used to attend St Augustine's Catholic College, Trow-bridge, before starting A-levels at Chippenham College, has completed the Ten Tors challenge on Dartmoor with his friend for the last three years.
He said: "We couldn't do it this year because we are too old to do it with the school, but we wanted to do a walk for charity.
"We have organised it all ourselves and we are hoping to raise £1,000."
He expects the challenge will take about four days. The pair will take all the equipment they need, such as a tent and cooking stove.
To sponsor them can contact Mr Garland on (01380) 828772.
