16597/3POLICE are appealing for the owner of a stolen chainsaw to come forward and claim it.
The saw was seized as stolen goods by the police in July but they have no record of it being stolen.
Sgt Steve Jones of Trowbridge police said: "We know it was stolen but we don't know who is the rightful owner.
"We want someone to come forward if they recognise it."
The chainsaw is orange and the make is Sachs-Dolmar.
"It was recovered from a house in Trowbridge but its theft was not reported in the town so it could be stolen from outside the area."
