PARENTS are being urged to attend meetings to decide the fate of West Swindon schools.
A consultation document, which lead member for education, Coun Garry Perkins helped draw up, has now been sent to all parents.
These must be returned by March 24.
Options open to the Education Department include amalgamating or even closing some schools.
The department has also been holding a series of meetings so that concerned parties can air their views.
Freshbrook Primary School's meeting will be held on Monday at 7pm.
Next month's meetings are at Westlea on March 1 at 7.15pm; Oliver Tomkins Infant and Junior on March 3 at 7pm; and Shaw Ridge on March 8 at 7pm.
Windmill Hill School has confirmed that a meeting will go ahead on March 10 but parents should contact the school to find out the venue.
Meanwhile, Brookfield School will hold its meeting on March 21 at 7pm.
Following the consultation process a set of preferred options will be recommended to Swindon council at a meeting later this year.
