AS father of the "Crash Test Woman" I would like to make a few comments.
On behalf of my daughter and the rest of us I would like to thank the emergency services for their professionalism, including A&E at GWH. Our best wishes and prayers go to the examiner. Our thoughts also go out to the bus driver.
May I correct the reports in the national press and radio. My daughter is not 17 but 20 and for the last few years has been driving our eight-seater MPV with no accidents.
And, as her instructor has said, she was ready for her test. She did not fail her test as it wasn't completed.
This accident also brings into focus concerns I have over Swindon buses. I have noticed drivers have been driving more aggressively. Twice I have been forced to halt by buses and I have been subject to aggressive behaviour from others. I hear similar reports from others.
I am not saying that my daughter's accident was caused by aggressive driving but I fear an accident is in danger of happening because of current driving behaviour.
