INTERNATIONAL Women's Day is being held on March 5 and Swindon's Women's Coalition is organising a series of events to mark the day.
The events, which will be on the theme of Women's Health and Well-being, will be held from 11am to 4pm at the Broadgreen Centre, in Salisbury Street.
Swindon Council is sponsoring the event and it is planned to offer a mixture of information, relaxation and fun to celebrate the gains women have made over the last century.
There will be a wide variety of stalls offering advice and information to women, as well as free workshops on relaxation and alternative health techniques.
In addition, there will be entertainment from Bollywood dancers and Caribbean singers and the chance to sample Asian and Caribbean cuisine.
Parking at the Broadgreen Centre is for disabled drivers only upon request but alternative parking is available in Carfax Street.
