Some of the rubbish deposited at Aragon Court, Park South 75981-21ARAGON Court should be the perfect place to enjoy a quiet retirement. The modern, spacious bungalows have gardens, and there are shops nearby.
But peace in the Park South cul-de-sac has been shattered by hordes of yobs who have been terrorising residents.
The street is the latest in Swindon where normal life has been ruined by the scourge of anti-social behaviour. A back alley running behind several gardens has become a haunt for underage drinkers, and kids on mopeds and bikes use the court as a racetrack.
Residents have to contend with noise and foul language into the early hours of the morning, and youths also clamber into back gardens.
One horrified pensioner looked out of her bedroom at 2.30am recently to find two teenagers having sex on her garden table.
Eggs, stones and bags of flour have been hurled at windows, and pensioners have found needles and used condoms in the alleyway.
Those living there are too scared to be named for fear of reprisals.
One grandmother said: "My husband has a heart problem and when we moved here I thought it was a godsend.
"This was going to be our little haven, but it's getting unbearable."
She says problems began when Swindon Council opened the alley in the summer.
It is a dead end and no-one can understand why it was created.
"We get around 20 kids in there some nights," said the woman.
"The shouting and language is terrible, and very intimidating.
"We had to call the police five times the other night."
All incidents are being logged by residents, and the crime and disorder team have been patrolling the area.
Pensioners say it is having an effect.
