Swindon notched up another impressive victory in the Berks, Bucks & Oxon Premier Division on Saturday, defeating Oxford 59-14.
The home side played some excellent rugby, scoring 11 tries and totally outclassing their opponents.
The first half saw Swindon play some of their best rugby of the season, dominating all aspects of play and putting together excellent passages of play.
Flanker Tom Loukes opened the scoring when he received an inside pass from Maycock to dive over.
Five minutes later a catch and drive at a lineout was successful with hooker Scott Chapman getting the touchdown.
Shortly after Loukes became the provider after the ball was spun wide and he drew the last defender to put in wing Robin Haxton for the score.
Direct from the kick-off an excellent passage of play saw full-back Nathan Waite adding the final scoring touch.
Not to be outdone, the Swindon forwards played themselves into great field position and once again the catch and drive saw Chapman emerge for his second of the game.
From a lineout just inside the Oxford half a planned backs move saw centre Guy Sturla receive the ball before dancing around the defence and beating the full-back to score a fine individual try which Maycock converted.
The fly-half also got himself on the score sheet after good work by the forwards had collected the ball from the kick-off and set up Maycock to switch play to the blind-side, where his pace beat the defence for a 40-metre run-in.
Swindon scored again direct from the kick-off, with wing Mathieu Seynaeve this time finishing an excellent team try to leave the home side 42-0 up at half-time.
Oxford hit back with two quick tries in the second half, but Maycock ghosted around the defence to score under the posts, which he also converted.
With the Swindon forwards dominating first phase play it was only a matter of time before they made their mark, and following some excellent tight play, prop Pat McBain bulldozed his way over.
Substitute flanker Ian Butcher was also on hand to finish off another controlled forward move and wrap up the scoring.
