Swindon MP Julia Drown will chair a fair trade lecture at New College this week.
Ms Drown, the Labour MP for South Swindon, said: "More and more people are becoming conscious of the effect of what they buy on the people that made the produce in the first place.
"By buying fair trade goods and arguing for fairer trade rules in the world we can help stop the huge exploitation of some of the poorest people in the world."
The lecture, which is part of the Fair Trade Fortnight, is at 5.30pm tomorrow.
