BUSINESSES are to be asked to support an appeal to restore Old Town's historic bandstand.
Residents have already raised £2,000 to repair the Victorian structure in Old Town gardens.
Now firms are being asked to do their bit.
The Pipers Way Residents' Association needs £20,000.
Secretary Gwenda Barnes said: "It's an important landmark in the town and it has a wider appeal than just Old Town.
"People even come from outside Swindon to watch the concerts."
Around £100,000 is needed.
Swindon Council has provided half the cash, and £30,000 has been promised from landfill tax credits.
