With the two under 17 Stratton sides inactive, Shaw took the opportunity to go second in the table, 12 points behind leaders Stratton Juniors B but with three games in hand.

The two sides meet on March 20 in what could be a title deciding game.

Were Shaw to win it would open up the prospect of a three -way tie and the need for a series of play-off matches to decide the title.

Shaw came out the stronger at the start and took a deserved 1-0 lead. This fired Liden into life, and they dominated the remainder of the half yet only managed to convert one goal leaving it 1-1 at half-time. Shaw put their chances away after the interval, scoring four times to win 5-1. Shaw scorers were Tom King (2) and a goal apiece from Adam Legg, Scott Campbell and Kristian Howell.

Wootton Bassett Town A stay fifth after a 4-0 home win over Swindon Badgers, with goals from Tim Gleed (2), Tom James and Dan Lowes.

In a good weekend for the club's youth teams, Wootton Bassett Town B also had a 9-1 away win at Fairford. Sherbourne Harriers remain a point above them following a 7-0 away win at Blunsdon Colts.

Under 15 Division 1

Just two games survived in what is becoming a frustrating division. The number of postponed games will be the subject of discussion at the next league committee meeting.

The two games that did survive all affected the race for the top two positions. Westbrook lost their first game of the season, going down 3-0 at Stratton Juniors. Steve Grey scored twice for Stratton, Dave Glover adding a third.

With Westbrook slipping up, Ferndale Rodbourne took advantage to close the gap to nine points following a 3-1 win at second-placed Wroughton A.

Ferndale went behind in their game at Wroughton when Adam Burson coolly slotted past the keeper.

Thirty seconds before half time Bobby Amos was allowed to run across the pitch and his 30-yard shot flew in the net past James Moore.

The second half saw both teams create good scoring opportunities and Josh Henshall gave the visitors the lead. The same player put the result beyond doubt with his second five minutes from time.

Under 15 Division 2

Leaders Walcot Wanderers were impressive in their 7-2 demolition of fourth-placed Blunsdon Colts. Jack Lumsdon fired in four, Zig Wardale two and there was one for Robert Lockyear.

Eldene Colts also found their scoring boots, hitting eight without reply at Lydiard Youth. Calum Dunn fired in four, Dean Edwards two, Daniel Keene and an own goal completing the scoring.

There was an even first half in the game between Wroughton B and Cricklade Youth but it was the Wroughton side that created the bulk of the chances and Michael Webb's cross in the 35th minute was met by David Eatwell to score the only goal.

Juventus Juniors' good run continued, they are now unbeaten in three following a 7-2 home win over bottom of the table Liden Community. Liam Walsh hit a hat-trick, Tom Barbieri two, Ryan Coulson and Steven Fyfe adding one apiece.

Under 14

Match of the day saw leaders Eastville Boys meet third-placed Westlea Wanderers at Lydiard Park. Goals from Max Etheridge and Jamie Prictor were enough to give Eastville the points and end Westlea's slim title hopes.

Highworth Juniors B kept in touch with Eastville with a 9-1 home win over Fairford and opened up a six- point gap over Westlea. Liam Wright scored a hat-trick, Santino Pileggi got two as did substitute Kurt Debono.Danny King and Chris Avery also scored.

Stable mates Highworth Juniors A won by a similar score at Penhill against the Allstars, Jamie Watts scored for Penhill and on target for Highworth A were Jose Algaba-Knight and Adam Brooks with hat-tricks, Harry Heath, Dan Lawrance and Steve Groom.

At the bottom of the table Wootton Bassett Town moved to within a point of Shrivenham & Watchfield following a 2-1 win over the same side. Shrivenham led 1-0 at the break but Ben Curtis levelled matters with a fine individual goal. The same player was then upended in the box and picked himself up to fire in what turned out to be the winner.

Under 13 Division 1

Amesbury Sports secured three more home points in their challenge for the title. They took the lead on five minutes through Callum Coker, and added further goals from Harvey Coker (2) and Josh Carter.

Old Town scored twice after the interval, but Sam Aldridge added further goals for Amesbury to win 8-2.

Ferndale Rodbourne kept in touch with a return to winning ways, goals from Aaron Selby (2), Nathan Gambling (2) and Gianluca Costabile (2) giving them a 6-0 home win over Wroughton.

Fairford moved up into third spot after a comfortable 9-0 away win at Wootton Bassett Town. On target for Fairford were Laurie Miller (3), Todd Hathaway (2), Dan Lloyd, James Skinner, James Trevers and an own goal.

Shaw had an excellent and well-deserved win over rivals Lydiard Youth. Luke Underwood opened the scoring with a close range finish. Alfie Passingham doubled the lead with a well-placed shot in to the bottom right hand corner. Daniel Watson netted the third with a fine chip, and Alex White finished the fourth with a fine header after a good run from Alfie Passingham. Craig Mooney then completed a good performance with a fine shot. Kieran O'Driscoll scored the consolation goal for Lydiard Youth.

Croft Juniors were 5-1 winners at Old Town United A, Michael Newman (3), Tom Green and Sam Burnside scoring for Croft, Kristian Scott for Old Town.

Under 13 Division 2

Leaders Liden Community maintained their four-point lead with three games to go following a 3-1 home win over Brunel Boys, Grant Davies scoring twice and Mark Cosnett once, top scorer Conor Doble netting for Brunel Boys.

Stratton Juniors won by a similar score away at Ferndale Rodbourne B, Daniel Trout, Callum Miller and Jordon Clark scoring for Stratton.

Greenmeadow lost ground when they were held to a 4-4 draw by bottom-of-the-table Blunsdon Colts, two goals for both Adam Beasant and Chris Walker for Blunsdon in this one.

Shrivenham & Watchfield had goals from Robert Brazier (2), Jamie Canavan, Josh Brown and Will Holme to thank for their 5-3 win at Purton, Adam Bedwell scoring all three of Purton's goals.

Under 12 Division 1

Shaw remain on track for another league and cup double following a hard fought 2-0 home win over Brunel Boys, both goals coming from Kane Lever.

Ferndale Rodbourne remain second following a comfortable 8-0 away win at Cricklade Youth A.

Goals from Brett Fairclough (2), Alex Daley and Vince Tapster kept Wootton Bassett Town in third spot. Jack Barnett and Shannon Pocock replying for Croft.

Stratton Juniors B remain fourth following a 5-2 win over Ferndale Rodbourne B, thanks to goals from Nathan Richens (2), Aaron Webb, Jeremy Marsh and Jordon O'Reilly.

Stratton Juniors A had a 3-1 away win at Greenmeadow, Nathan Lane scoring for the home side, Jack Gray equalising and then two goals from Jason Gunnett giving Stratton all three points.

Under 12 Division 2

Leaders Liden Community slipped up when they could only draw 1-1 at home against Purton, Sam Slater scoring for Liden with Mark Woolhouse replying for Purton.

Lydiard Youth closed the gap with a comprehensive 12-0 home win over bottom of the table Cricklade Youth B. Finding the net for Lydiard Youth were Nathan Hudson (4), Daniel Stretton (2), Andrew Bradley (2), Matt Cole (2), Sam Golding and Chris Balfe.

Another side to find their shooting boots were AFC Swindon, 10-1 winners at Highworth Juniors B. Their scorers were Jamie Cherry (4), Daniel Black (2), Maher Ali, Lee Scott, Nathan Fowler and Darren Howlett.

Castle Combe Colts had an excellent 5-3 home win over fifth-placed Fairford, Jordan Murphy (3), Will Stone and Greg Ault scoring.

Under 11 North

Ramsbury had a fine 5-0 home win over Blunsdon, courtesy of goals from Jordan Rosenberg (3), Jamie Pickford and Richard West. Purton were 4-3 winners at Wroughton.

Under 11 West

Uffington United went back top of the table after a 5-1 away win at Fairford, Ben Saunders scoring the consolation goal for Fairford.

Greenmeadow stay third after a 5-3 away win against AFC Lydiard, for whom Ellis Garland scored twice.

Wootton Bassett moved into fourth spot with a 2-0 home win over Penhill Knights thanks to goals from Daniel Jones and Aiden Cressey.

Under 11 Central

Croft Juniors B closed the gap on leaders Malmesbury to two points with a 5-0 away win at Highworth Juniors B. George Bouverie-Brine (2), Nick Crisp, James Lee and Jamie Howitt-Bowdidge finding the net for Croft.

Penhill Allstars are unbeaten at home all season, but until Sunday had failed to win on their travels. This was put right in emphatic style when they ran out 7-3 winners over Highworth Town to make it three wins on the bounce and move into fourth spot in the process.

Two goals for Cameron Hayes plus one each for Connor Turley, Aaron Jones, Adam Rogers, Jamie Skinner and Luke Doyle for the Allstars, David Maksymuk, Jason Holt and Peter Mabbott scoring for Highworth.

Ashton Keynes picked up three useful points with a 4-1 home win over Fairford Youth B, Oliver Oram (2), Huw Humphreys and Sam Rowan with the goals for Ashton Keynes.

Under 10 North

Ferndale Rodbourne closed the gap on leaders Wootton Bassett Town to eight points with a narrow 2-1 home win over Highworth Town, Jack Allan scoring both Ferndale Rodbourne goals.

With third-placed Greenmeadow A dropping points at Swindon Soccer Skills it meant Wootton Bassett Town were guaranteed at least runners-up spot.

Soccer Skills were unlucky not to beat Greenmeadow A. Soccer Skills took the lead, and added a second after half-time.

Greenmeadow changed the formation and got a goal back through Carl Merchant. Jonathon Leighfield hit the equaliser.

Stratton Juniors had a 6-1 away win at Westbrook A, Callum Fitzgerald scoring for Westbrook.

Under 10 West

Marlborough march on at the top of the table but were made to work hard by a Cirencester Town side who led 1-0 at the break through a Max Steadman goal. However, a much-improved second half from the leaders saw them score seven times without reply through Thomas Andrew (2), Ben Lythe (2), Elliott Milne (2) and Alex Marcel.

Malmesbury move up into third place following a 4-1 home win over Old Town United. On target for Malmesbury were Max Charman with a hat-trick and Matthew Fusco.

Second-placed Robins won a close match against Croft Juniors A. Robins scored twice to take the points through Stuart Fraser and Michael Lewis.

Cirencester Town played two games over the weekend but did not gain any points as they went down 4-1 at home against Lydiard Youth A on Sunday. Michael Abbley scored for Cirencester, Jonathan White (2) and George Langsbury (2) scoring for Lydiard.

Under 10 Central

The top three all won. Leaders Lydiard Youth B had a 2-1 away win at Faiford, Josh Hillier getting both Lydiard goals, Jake Griffiths replying for Fairford.

A hat-trick from Conor Waldon plus one apiece for Scott Price and Liam Jones kept Greenmeadow two points adrift of Lydiard.

Third-placed Uffington United had Elliott Day, Benjamin Richards, Marcus Rutter and Jonathan Smith to thank for their 4-0 win over Wanborough.

Ramsbury were 2-1 winners at Shrivenham & Watchfield, Ben Hartman scoring for Shrivenham.

Under 10 South

Liden Community became the second side to be crowned champions this season following a 5-1 home win over Minety. On target for the newly crowned champions were Jack Payne (2), Timothy Ogu, Sophie James and Jordan Myers.

Highworth Juniors are runners-up, their championship ambitions ended when they lost 2-1 in the local derby with Coleshill Juniors, Mitchell Brown and Jonathan Keany scoring for Coleshill.

After winning their first game of the season last week Shaw have certainly awoken from their early season slumber, as they made it two in a row following a 3-0 away win at Croft Juniors B. Shaw's scorers were Jack Duffy, James Rowe and Matty Johnson.

Highworth Town B and Cricklade Youth B shared four goals and the points, Andy Ferris and Jordan Read scoring for Cricklade, John Light and Harvey Scholes for Highworth.

Goals from Jake Roffey and Jay Kitchen helped Westbrook B to a 2-1 win over Marlborough Town B, Ben Knight with the consolation goal for Marlborough.

Under 9 North

Stratton Juniors remain on track for the title, their latest win a 5-1 away success at FC Abbey Meads. Jack Davies fired in a hat-trick and there was one for both Joe Broadbank and Christy Millar.

Shaw, their closest challengers, won 5-0 at Blunsdon Colts A courtesy of goals from Chris Siddle (2), Joe Bridgman and Cameron McLarty.

Lydiard Youth and Westlea Wanderers shared the points following a 1-1 draw, Michael Norcliffe scoring for the home side.

Purton A and Greenmeadow A drew 3-3. On target for Purton were Isaac Hayden, Connor Vincent and Matt Sprules.

Under 9 West

Wroughton went clear at the top following a 9-0 win over Swindon Badgers who unfortunately finished the season without a point but nevertheless kept going and completed all of their fixtures.

Cricklade Youth moved up into fourth spot following a 3-1 win at Ferndale Rodbourne, Scott Bevan scoring for Ferndale, Mitchell Meacock, Jake Hart and Thomas Whittaker for Cricklade.

Under 9 Central

Croft Juniors A continue to lead the table ahead of next week's crunch match with an 8-0 home win over Penhill Knights.

Conor Lawrence led the way with four goals and there was one a piece for Tom Whatley, James Whatley, Bradley McCabe and Connor Howie.

Swindon Soccer Skills set up a top of the table decider next week with Croft by completing the double over Ferndale B with a 3-0 victory. Bradley Byron, Jamil Anderson and Mickey Cook scored.
