ECO-FRIENDLY Covingham Park Infants School is encouraging all its pupils to walk or ride to school this week.
On Thursday there will be a whole school breakfast from 8.30am to celebrate the annual event.
Last month the school held a special eco-conference which was aimed at encouraging children to think about practical ways they can help protect the environment.
Pupils are also asked to leave food packaging at home and instead use plastic containers.
Headteacher Moyra Holmes said that topical environmental issues like global warming and recycling materials - formed the basis of the school's curriculum.
