CHIPPENHAM Under 12s ran out 19-12 winners over Avon in their first match for three weeks.
In a game split into three 20-minute sessions, Avon spoilt a lot of the visitors' early work and they drew first blood with a converted try.
Chippenham picked up the pace in the next stage, preventing Avon from scoring although not managing to bring the scores level.
In the third phase and with a change of referee, Chippenham at last began to turn on the style and soon after the kick-off, they scored a try from Neil Jenknins, converted by Harry Smith.
In the last 10 minutes Jenkins darted through for his second try of the game and just before the final whistle, Harry Neal went over to score in the corner to seal the victory.
Chippenham's under 14s were leading Westbury 25-0 in a game abandoned due to the home side's mounting injury list.
Chippenham had opened their account with a try by Sam Wells, Tom Davis adding a second for a 10-0 lead.
Stephan Crawley and Liam Baker added further tries for a 20-0 lead.
The second half saw another well-worked try from Chippenham, Richard Thatcher crossing over, but soon after the game was abandoned.
Chippenham's under 12 Rhinos defeated Cirencester A 40-10 with their tries coming from Ollie Curry (2), Charlie Wiseman (2), Josh Banks, Ed Wilson, Kyle Butler and Toby Levy.
