WOOTTON Bassett boss Chris Jones has demanded a vast improvement ahead of the club's Hellenic Premier Division trip to title contenders Bishops Cleeve this evening.
Bassett's recent spell of good form came to a shuddering halt in a dismal 2-0 Supplementary Cup defeat at Rayners Lane on Saturday.
"That level of performance was not acceptable and I will be looking for a big response," said Jones.
The chances of a Bassett upset have been bolstered by the return of Matty Bennett, Ash Bradshaw and Rich Willis.
Elsewhere, a Hellenic Division One representative side will face their North Berks League counterparts at Milton.
Corsham underlined their Screwfix Premier title ambitions last night with a convincing 5-1 home win over fellow high-flyers Bristol Manor Farm.
Alan Griffin, John Eldred and Toby Colbourne put the Southbank side in control and two penalties from Jack Cullis sent the visitors back to Bristol with their tails between their legs.
In the First Division, third-placed Calne grabbed a decent 1-1 draw at second-placed Radstock to remain in title contention.
n In the Les Phillips Cup quarter finals, Corsham Town will travel to Bideford while Calne Town are at home against Odd Down or Keynsham if they overcome Frome Town.
Elsewhere, Bristol Manor Farm or Backwell will play Exmouth and Barnstaple or Bridgwater Town face Weston St Johns.
