GIANT sunflower headdresses added a splash of colour to a celebratory party.
Staff from the Tesco store at Octotal Way raised nearly £17,000 for the Prospect Hospice.
And to say thank you the Wroughton-based hospice held a tea-time buffet for the fundraisers.
The supermarket chose the hospice as its charity of the year.
Staff donned the colourful headdresses for the party when they handed over the cheque the sunflower is the national emblem of the hospice movement.
Throughout the year staff have organised events, including sponsored cycle rides, car boot sales and raffles.
Store manager Adrian Hunt said one of the highlights was a 24-hour cycle ride inside the shop.
Customers were also urged to part with their spare change to boost the total.
Mr Hunt said: "This could be the most amount of money any Tesco store has raised. Most of the credit belongs to the charity committee and staff here. They've done some really fantastic work. I'm really proud of them all."
Maggie Gill, community fundraiser at Prospect, said: "Tesco went out of their way to raise money for Prospect.
"The staff were absolutely brilliant in using their time and energy. They have definitely made every day count in raising money for Prospect."
This year the Tesco store will be raising money for Age Concern.
