NORTH Wiltshire MP James Gray is delivering a petition to Parliament tonight containing 700 signatures from the residents of Minety.
They are appealing for the Government to remove a gipsy encampment in their area and are asking for the House of Commons to reaffirm that all sections of the community must obey the same planning laws.
The gipsies arrived at a field between the B4040 Minety to Cricklade Road in 2003 and residents in Minety have been fighting for their eviction.
Mr Gray said: "I very much hope that the inspector will come to the conclusion that he should advise John Prescott to remove the illegal gypsy encampment at Minety with no further delay."
