SOME weeks ago I called for the large noisy exhausts to be outlawed. A reader responded and asked what was my problem.
On Friday evening last, while travelling along Drakes Way (where a vehicle left the road only recently) I followed a small car with two very noisy exhausts on. It was being driven by a fool, without any regard for the safety of other road users by switching at high speed from lane to lane. They seem to get pleasure the more noise they make.
I accept it does not follow the fitting of these large exhausts does not turn all drivers into morons but it seems to have that affect on a few.
These are the ones that possibly have to be cut free, or worse, by the emergency services.
