WOOTTON Bassett Light Operatic Society has attracted several newcomers for a sparkling spring production of popular musical, Guys & Dolls, directed by Barry Austin.
The show will be staged from next Tuesday until the following Saturday at 7.30pm, at the Memorial Hall in Station Road.
This Damon Runyon tale of Broadway in the 1940s, has a melee of characters including gamblers, nightclub performers and Salvationists seeking to reform wayward inhabitants of Times Square in New York.
Memorable musical numbers include Luck Be a Lady Tonight and I've Never Been in Love Before. Delia Bathurst plays Sarah; Andy Wells is Sky Masterson; Robert Burbidge plays Nathan Detroit ; Elaine Taylor is Adelaide and Mark Harper plays Nicely Nicely.
Tickets are £6, concessions £5, on Tuesday and Wednesday; on the remaining three nights they are £8, concessions £6, are available now at Brian Taylor Music, 151 High Street. Call 01793 840445.
