SWINDON Town Ladies travelled down the M5 to face Plymouth Argyle in a South West Combination League fixture and lost 4-2.
In the 17th minute the home side took the lead through Katie Middleton, who then doubled it in the 42nd minute.
Town hit back and within a minute Catherine Reid reduced the arrears with a well-placed lob. Argyle bagged a third almost on half time when Louise Stentiford-Crook headed in Laura Perrett's corner.
In the 62nd minute Plymouth increased their lead when Middleton ran through to complete her hat-trick.
Town began to have a good spell and forced the home side back and were rewarded in the 77th minute when Catherine Reid found the net from the edge of the area.
