SWINDON residents are asked to complete and return a housing needs survey they were sent by Swindon Council.
The council sent out 12,000 of the postal questionnaires in February but say that many of them have not yet been returned. The survey asks residents how they think housing can be improved in Swindon and will enable the council to receive funding for this from the Government.
The last housing needs survey was carried out in 2001 but this survey is to be wider and more comprehensive. Cabinet member for housing, David Renard, said: "I urge people to have their say and send this vital survey back.
"With the help of Swindon residents we really do have the opportunity to get an accurate picture of the housing needs of local people, but we can only do that with their help." For more information on the survey should contact Shakti Bhatoolaul, Rachael McHenry and Nick Kemmitt, housing enabling officers on 01793 464 411, 01793 464 480 or 01793 464 412 or email rmchenry@swindon.gov.uk
