The youngsters, aged between 11 and 13 began yesterday with lessons in composing and painting and today will be looking at yoga and sculpture.
The lessons are all part of a free Creative Arts Week running until Friday at the university's Oakfield campus.
The aim of the week is to give children from the area an opportunity to find out more about going to university and where their interests lie.
Students from the university have been on hand throughout the week to help run the school and answer questions on what its like being a student.
At the end of the week, the children, will show off their new skills with a display of their work.
Pauline Pratt, Creative Arts Week director said: "After the success of last year's Creative Arts Week, we're thrilled to be able to open our doors again to the schoolchildren of Parks and Walcot. The week is a great experience for everyone involved."
