MINI cars put in the maximum amount of effort to raise money for a new school on an island off the coast of Thailand that was ripped apart by the tsunami.
Thirty of the cars had their performance tested at last Saturday's "shoot out", held at Slack Race Engineering, in Amesbury.
In return for a £20 donation, the Minis were driven on a rolling road at the event, which attracted a host of enthusiasts.
The day was organised by Neil Slack, son of Slack Race Engineering owners Bryan and Sue.
Champion Mini driver Ben Seyfried also took part and all the money raised went to the Piers Simon Thailand Tsunami appeal, which was set up in memory of one of his friends, who died in the Boxing Day disaster.
