The Baha'i community will mark one of their key Holy Days with a celebration on Friday, April 22.
Barney Leith, secretary of the National Spiritual Assembly of the UK Baha'i's, will be in town to speak on the special day, known as Ridvn.
Fidelma Meehan, of the Swindon Baha'i Projects, said: "Barney will do an introduction to the Baha'i Faith and its relevance to life on a global, national and local level.
"It's great for us to be able to get him to come to Swindon and find out more about what we're doing.
"He will be in demand all over the country but he's coming to Swindon to see the work we've been doing.
"He will also refer to the work of Baha'i's in the UK over the past year, including interfaith, social cohesion and anti-discrimination, as well as the Swindon Youth Empowerment Project.
"It will put Swindon on the map in many ways. It will be a spotlight on the work we do in the town.
"The fact that he is attending out gathering is a real sign of our success here."
The event is at 7pm at the Ibis Hotel in Swindon.
There will be a buffet and tickets cost £5. For information call the Baha'i Projects office on 01793 465715.
