THE Wiltshire Wildlife Trust is to benefit from grants totalling £3million that have been given out by Defra to community groups working with waste in England.
Defra the Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs has given out the cash through the Waste Partnership Fund.
The Wiltshire Wildlife Trust was given £94,992, which will be spent on providing composting facilities to a quarter of Wiltshire's state secondary schools.
The cash will also fund projects to raise pupils' awareness of Wiltshire's higher than average growth in municipal waste.
