15710/1CHILDREN from Malmesbury Church of England Primary School have been rewarded for their woolly ideas by alpaca farmer Phil Neale.
Mr Neale, who owns an 11-acre farm near the Malmesbury bypass, asked them to draw and then decorate pictures of the Peruvian animals with real alpaca wool, after they visited his farm.
Last Wednesday Mr Neale presented seven pupils who he judged the best with chocolate Easter eggs and there were egg cosies made from handspun Alpaca wool for three students.
The farmer said: "The drawings had tremendous detail. What the children took in from their visit was unbelievable."
Together with alpacas, Mr Neale rears goats, ducks, chickens, rabbits, and a pig. He also enjoys sled-racing around his farm with his Japanese Akita dogs Suki and Kobe.
He now plans to open to the public regularly on Sundays.
