15780/2AS the England football team edge closer to World Cup qualification, youngsters in Wootton Bassett are still dreaming of scoring the winner at Wembley.
They have once again flocked to the football holiday fun weeks organised by Chris Kirkland.
Last week 40 five to 13-year-old Michael Owen wannabes took to the turf at Rylands Way.
Mr Kirkland said: "They've all had a great time despite the rain earlier on in the week.
"What has really impressed me is that there's been some really good talent on display.
"And they've all behaved absolutely brilliantly. The parents have been delighted, not with the washing of the kit, but with the fact that they've all been going home totally exhausted and ready for bed."
The young football fanatics were working on a whole range of skills from dribbling and heading to passing and shooting.
At the end of the week prizes were given out including awards for good attitudes, effort and most improved. A second course of footballing fun begins today with almost 60 youngsters already signed up for coaching in the weeks to come.
