15801/2GAZETTE & HERALD: JENNY Glennon was proud as punch to see her 11-year-old son Ryan receiving an award for saving her life.
Quick-thinking Ryan, who was just ten at the time, put his mum in the recovery position before calling an ambulance when she collapsed in February.
But the modest hero, a pupil at Holy Trinity School in Calne, insists it was just a phone call.
Last Wednesday, Ryan, who lives with his mum and brother Kieran, eight, at Atcherley Road in Lower Compton, received a Special Achievement for Members of the Public award for his bravery from the Wiltshire Ambulance Service.
Mrs Glennon, 36, said: "I was so proud of him and I think he was proud of himself."
She said ambulance boss Tim Skelton spoke of his achievement.
Ryan then had the chance to meet switchboard operator Lorraine Smith, who helped him save his mum.
