THE Marlborough Gardeners' Fair will be held for an eighth successive year on Sunday, April 17 at the town's public school dining hall.
Over the past seven years the fair which always benefits Cancer Research UK has raised tens of thousands of pounds for the charity.
This year, said organisers' spokeswoman Anne Deuchar, there will be more than 60 stands in the Norwood Hall compared with 35 last year in the town hall.
The bigger venue also provides room for children's activity sessions held at half hour intervals throughout the day that runs from 10am to 4pm. Exhibitors will be travelling from as far away as Cornwall because of the event's growing reputation.
The exhibitors, said Mrs Deuchar, will have something for everyone whether they are experienced gardeners or beginners or just like to do armchair gardening through the pages of some of the many books available on the subject.
Devizes-based Sefton Whorlow will be showing some of his abstract pieces made from recycled materials and Marlborough author Anna Marsden will be there with copies of her book, Create Your Dream Garden.
