POLICE in Marlborough have launched a weekly supervised disco for teenagers.
They have teamed up with the Marlborough nightclub Azuza to launch the Bluez 'n' Zuz club that will be open to teenagers up to 16.
The disco will take place from 6.30pm to 9.30pm on Tuesday and tickets will cost £2 each from the police station in George Lane, Marlborough, from Azuza Caf or from the Gazette and Herald office in Kingsbury Street.
At the discos there will be prizes offered to teenagers for their dancing skills as well as draws.
Sergeant Mark Freeman, of Marlborough police, who will supervise the disco, said: "I am very aware that there is a clear need for the town to provide somewhere for younger teenagers to go in the evenings.
"They will be able to receive on-the-spot prizes and participate properly in what should be an exciting and energetic event for everybody."
