THERE will be a craft extravaganza in Old Town on Saturday. People are being invited to learn about traditional crafts at a Country Crafts Day at Swindon Museum and Art Gallery in Bath Road.
Crafts on display will include cane and rush seating, paper and easel making, wood turning and lace making.
There will also be the chance to watch crafts people at work and for visitors to try their hand at some of the activities, including bird box making. The drop-in event runs from 11 am to 4 pm.
Admission is free, but there is a £1.50 charge for the bird box activity, and crafts will be on sale.
There will also be two free guided walks, led by Mark Eborn, horticultural ranger with Swindon Services Ranger Team.
The times of the walks are 12 - 1pm and 2 - 3pm, both leaving from Swindon Museum and Art Gallery. For further information phone 01793 466556.
