CHIPPENHAM NEWS: CHILDREN clowned around with a jester at a fun workshop on April Fool's Day. Up to 15 youngsters took part in the Acting The Fool workshop at Corsham's Pound Arts Centre on Friday.
Visiting clown Jonathan the Jester ran the session, dressed in a brightly coloured outfit.
Ian Martin, general manager of the arts centre, said: "He was quite a colourful character and caught the imagination of all the children who took part. It was great fun."
The children, aged eight to 12, learned magic tricks and circus skills, including tight rope walking.
Mr Martin said: "I'm sure the children have been showing off their skills to parents and friends."
He said there was likely to be another circus skills workshop at the arts centre in the future, meaning children who missed out would have another chance to take part.
The workshop was just one of a number of activities available to youngsters over the Easter holidays.
l Folk duo Tom Napper and Tom Bliss will perform at the Pound Arts Centre next Saturday. Tickets (01249) 701628.
