TESCO has been given permission to install a cash machine and signs at its soon-to-own Westbury store despite opposition from an open space campaigner.
West Wiltshire District Council's planning committee ignored claims from Chapmanslade resident Francis Morland that the application would further erode the 'rural buffer' between Westbury and Dilton Marsh.
Following the decision on Thursday the cash machine and signs, along with refrigeration equipment, can be installed at the Tesco Express store on the Leigh Park estate.
